Getty Images Acquires Pump Audio For $42 Million

SEATTLE, WA -- Stock photo company Getty Images (NYSE:GYI)  announced the acquisition of Pump Audio for $42.5 million.

Pump Audio provides a platform to license original music and sell it to video producers and other licensees.

Getty Images provides stock images to customers worldwide and believes that the music licensing market is highly fragmented.  The acquisition of Pump Audio will provide Getty with the technology to begin offering music licensing on a larger scale.
